SCIENCE BLOGGING....Chris Mooney's science blog is now being sponsored by Seed magazine, where Chris works, and has a new URL:

http://scienceblogs.com/intersection

The Seed borg is apparently swallowing up quite a few other science-oriented blogs as well, including PZ Myers' Pharyngula, Chad Orzel's Uncertain Principles, Tim Lambert's Deltoid, and about a dozen others (so far). The main site is here. It's worth checking out.

The existence of "science" is only a theory.

What, Slashdot doesn't qualify as a science blog?

Who am I kidding, I know it doesn't.

Likewise, on GoogleNews in their Science & Technology section, typically 8 out of 10 stories are about computer technology and the other two are about pharmacutical research into the next dick pill.

"BURGLE ARG MRRRGA REGGGG SCIENCE BAAAAAH!!!! RAAGA BLAGGA DRIZZLE DORF GRRRRRRR THEORY!!!"

Whoa, is that Al? If so, he's sounding unusually lucid today.

It's funny 'cause it's true.

Probably not telling you all anything you don't already know, but here are a few other science-oreiented weblogs and webborgs: Cosmic Variance, RealClimate, Three-toed Sloth, FrinkTank, Collision detection, Science Musings, Science Blog, Bad Astronomy Blog.

If anybody's got more, I'm an avid collector and would be grateful for some links.

Seed is great. Lots of stuff on cognitive science and related issues.

And, it's not technically a blog, but the Guardian's bad science columnist (can't remember his name off the top of my head) usually is, as the British say, spot on.
