SURVEY....The BlogAds folks are doing their annual demographic survey, and we'd really appreciate it if you could take a few minutes to fill out their questionnaire. It only takes a few minutes. Just click here:

For question #23, fill in "Washington Monthly." Thanks!

I went there from Atrios' blog, and the fill-in-the-blog questions says, "up to 10 blogs," but has only enough space for nine!

Sigh. They also misspell "occasionally," but proof-reading accuracy isn't in favor these days anyway.

Ed -

If you add a 10th, the space gets bigger.

Technology - it's amazing!

If the limit is 10, putting space for 9 and then growing for the tenth is a very odd design decision.

How the hell do you have time to read 10 blogs??

I wouldn't go so far as 'very odd'. Maybe just 'odd'. It's a simple <textarea> tag, with rows and cols attributes to determine box dimensions...It could just have easily been 5 rows and 50 columns.

Y'all are such perfectionists.

That yellow background burned my retinas.

but has only enough space for nine!

maybe it depends on your monitor size too, i only wrote in 7 blogs, and there was enough room to add one more. {when i hit enter after the 7th i got the slider bar on the right to give me more room if i wanted it, is what i'm trying to say}

Posted by: e1 on March 1, 2006 at 12:59 PM | PERMALINK

Eh, if its just a textarea -- I was just going by the description -- then, yeah, how much space each one takes will be influenced by your settings. So the "space for 9" thing isn't even odd.

I am truly amazed that an excessively conscionable liberal like Mr. Drum would stoop so low as to skewer the results of a survey.

What's next Kevin?

Are you going to go deeper into the gutter and use the Dubai Port deal as a way to club Bush into submission?

Or does the thougth of that still offend your glittering sensibilities.

How many fetuses were reabsorbed before we got Christian Charlie's Ghost?

Posted by: Ace Franze on March 1, 2006 at 1:27 PM | PERMALINK

Ah... so nice to see the earnest liberals splitting nipples in half and rushing in to defend their panty-waisted blog god with carefully parsed semantics.

That sort of rationality is always a good vote getter. Beats beating the war drum about Dubai anytime.

Yep.

Elections are won in America because of their rational context rather than their emotional context.

Yep.

Good job boys.

Let me toss you a Cheney-bone for your efforts:

Go fuck yourselves...

Does anybody know what the hell this clown is talking about?

Posted by: David P on March 1, 2006 at 2:06 PM | PERMALINK

If you were answer q23 with "calpundit," would they catch on? Not that i did that or anything.

Posted by: Brian on March 1, 2006 at 2:11 PM | PERMALINK

He is making his own reality. We are tied to the real world. We cant possibly understand.

Posted by: troglodyte on March 1, 2006 at 2:13 PM | PERMALINK

That is, this clown is making his own reality. Mrs Randall would scold my ambiguous syntax.

Posted by: troglodyte on March 1, 2006 at 2:14 PM | PERMALINK

Hey, at least you used the honorific 'Mrs', trog instead of just calling her Randall...gotta count for something.

My usual order in the morning is Talking Points Memo, then here, then Atrios. But for some reason, today I clicked on Atrios first. So sorry, but he got #23.

As usual, blog readers can only be from the US, too. Couldn't the political description include more generic terms like Liberal, Socialist, Democratic Socialist, Anarchist etc? Being an Oz Labor voter, I chose Green as the closest approximation (it's the old Oz saying - from one of our conservative Prime Ministers, I think, about how America has a right wing party and a far right wing party).
