CONGRATULATIONS TO ANN AND HENRY....A few of you who have been reading liberal blogs for a long time will remember Ann Salisbury, former proprietor of Two Tears in a Bucket. Well, today she got married to Henry Jenkins, who she met via the blogosphere. Henry does IT/business blogging at Modern Middle Manager (though not much lately).

The ceremony was lovely, presided over by a fluffy gray cat who started making the rounds when the appetizers appeared and then went to sleep when the food went away. I should have taken my camera, but I didn't, so no pictures. Sorry. But it really was lovely, and I thought at least some of my readers who used to read Ann's blog would like to hear the news.

Well, today she got married to Henry Jenkins, who she met via the blogosphere.

WHOM she met. Please, how can I enjoy this news when these huge errors are popping out at me?

"Who" for "whom" is acceptable as a colloquialism. (But "whom" for "who" is never acceptable, as it shows you up for an ignoramus.)

Congratuations to the happy couple. May they forget all rules of grammar for the duration of the honeymoon.

Congratulations to the bride and groom. I sure miss Two Tears in a Bucket. It was one of a handful of blogs that got me interested in the blogoshpere.

As for the grammar police, please give Kevin a break.

Although I know neither of them, may God bless you and may you have a long and happy life together. Best wishes.

As one who has met Ann (and remembers her blog), I'm very glad to hear this. Kevin, please pass along my congratulations and best wishes when you see her next. And thanks for letting us know the good news.

Congratulations to Ann and Henry. Two Tears was one of the first blogs I 'exchanged links' with, way back when bloggers did that sort of thing. That was sort of like getting married. Incidentally, I think "two tears" and "bucket" as a login and password will still get you onto the LA Times site. I think Ann might have been the first person to post her login details as an easy way for readers to get to articles she linked.

This is wonderful news. Ann's blog was one of my regular reads, and one I regularly linked to, back in the early days of my own now-terminated blog. I miss Two Tears but am thrilled by the happy news.

Ann was one of my favorite bloggers. Always astute, and always interesting. Nice sense of humor, too!

Thank you to you all! We've wrapped up our "mini-moon" and I appreciate reading all your messages.

Kev, that cat was the bane of Henry's existence while in his tux. I think we used up a whole lint roller just getting his fur off of his tux for the photos and ceremony. Glad you had a great time - I figure any event that includes a chocolate fountain will be a great event! :)
