I am catless (and forlorn) but I have a calendar with pics of sleeping cats. None of those cutesy fake kitten poses for me. Nothing is as calming as a contented, sleeping cat (but then, I am being redundant).

I make frequent forays to my local used-book emporium (population: ~15 cats, 2 dogs) to get some quality lap time: now that the cooler weather is here in CT they are more willing to cooperate.

Hmm.. 48, huh? I'm a few years your senior. Your age helps explain your fondness for tennis, as we both lived through tennis' popularity peak in the early 80s. A grand time indeed. I recall tennis courts being full, people watching and talking Borg, Connors, McEnroe. Athletes now are superior. But those guys were the bomb. Happy birthday, KD.
