DO RUMORS REALLY TRAVEL FASTER THAN LIGHT?....How do memes spread across the internet? Fellow Irvinite Scott Eric Kaufman is bringing rigorous blog science to bear on this important question, and needs links to this post to complete his experiment. Lots of links.
So go ahead. Link. It's for a good cause.

How are children's jokes passed on? They travel the world only as verbal communication.
I saw Schumer on C-SPAN last night, and he was talking about ways to protect children from porn on the internet. Expect the end of net neutrality soon. It seems to be on the new Democratic Congress' agenda.

According to the Borgen Project, all the publicity received for the Blair Witch Project was done over the internet. The Borgen Project works to for the fulfillment of the UN Millennium Development Goals and the eradication of global poverty. Over half of the world's population lives in poverty, under $2 USD a day. It's ridiculous but it is also fixable. Think about raising the standards of living for half the world, having twice as many consumers and increasing the world economy exponentially!

This is yet another liberal waste of taxpayer dollars.
Just this? What about the rest of my graduate career? Did the class I took on postcolonial feminisms contribute to the GDP? Because as a tried-and-true, blue-blooded academic Marxist, the thought of that nauseates me...
