Um, no.
But tell Paul that it's not him. It's Mickey.

Mickey wins the battle of the eyebrows.

Wheeee, Mickey Kaus. Does he talk with lots of punctuation? What's he have to say about Hillary?
Real deep thinker, that guy.

It would save me a trip.
Yeah, I guess thinking that 'Kaus makes great points' requires that you are tripping, Hawksie.

Well Hawk, it is all about you, isn't it?
Oh yeah - and Micky Kaus is the rapacious fly in the pundit ointment.

"Ever wanted to . . . see Slate's Mickey Kaus?"
I've seen him once. It's an experience I'd rather not repeat.

American Hawk on February 23, 2007 at 11:34 AM:
Which, if any, of his points did you disagree with?
Here's a few:
6:10 - Poor-performing inner-city schools are the fault of teacher's unions.
9:49 - Because the current 'surge' has diminished violence in Baghdad, the violence will stay diminished.
11:35 - "I'm a pillow. I believe the last person I just talked to...the last person I just talked to is a neocon."
11:44 - Hillary should admit to making a mistake about voting to go to war in Iraq. People are forgiving and won't think she's vacillating.
But, considering the strong right-wing positions you've taken in your various postings on this site, your support for a 'liberal Democrat' like Kaus is heartening.
Or, as I wrote earlier, you are just plain trippin'...

I'm not prejudiced. I don't just dislike Republicans. I start off disliking everyone and change that POV for a very few.

No.

American Hawk: "Blue Girl-- Mickey Kaus is a liberal democrat."
Right.
From 2000 to 2003, Mickey Kaus basically advocated in his Slate columns the prevailing conventional Beltway wisdom that Al Gore was a serial liar, George W. Bush was a uniter and not a divider, and Dick Cheney brought to the Bush Administration a wealth of knowledge and experience that tempered its conduct of American foreign policy in the Middle East.
Nowadays, his Bush-bashing only proves that Kaus is another lazy-assed east coast pundit with his finger held up to determine the wind of public opinion -- a poor man's Maureen Dowd. His work is not rooted in liberal principle, but rather political expediency.

You've got to feel sorry for Glastris here. He's debating an irascible, logic-less person who writes $500,000 checks to the Monthly. He's not really in a position to call Kaus out on his sloppy logic, even though you can tell he would like to.

No, No, a thousand times, NO! (no offense to Paul Glastris, but I can't stand Mickey, he's got the face for radio, the voice for newspapers, and the brain for TV).

if Mickey Kaus is a liberal Democrat, then Ken Mehlmann is heterosexual.
