BLOGO-NEWS....I'm informed via email that Pajamas Media "shook the blogosphere" today by incorporating Instapundit onto its site. So it's goodbye instapundit.com, hello pajamasmedia.com/instapundit. Are you feeling shaken yet?

Not shaken. Not even stirred.

Heh. Indeed.

Who is this Instapundit of which you speak?

There's been nothing this earthshaking since Arianna Huffington let some guy who's name I can't remember post blog entries I don't read on her jumbotron site.

I think this is their way of being able to say that they "beat" the HuffPo. when the HuffPo started, they made a lot of jokes at their expense and said it wouldn't work. Now they can say they're one of the highest trafficked political blog networks around. Granted, that would be like me starting a soda called Mo-Cola, acquiring Coke and then claiming that Mo-Cola is the most popular cola brand in the world.

Thanks Kevin. Now I know to ignore Glenn somewhere else.

if you shake it more than 3 times you're playing with it!

I have bathed myself in the River Jordan that is Pajamas Media. I am now clean.

Pajamas "incorporating" InstaCracker kind of reminds me of AOL "buying" Time Warner. I see the Ole Perfessor still doesn't have comments.

Sybil added a new voice!
Are you feeling shaken yet?
Er, no.

Now that he is getting paid, and with his hits compared to most pj men, he is clearly getting paid a great deal, then maybe he can now afford to pay an intern or two to moderate his comments.
Which is to say, he has no excuse for not allowing comments apart from "I just don't want comments" and different from his past claims of "I don't have time..."
Hell Kevin, you should offer him the wamo moderation team -- they're pretty craptacular so I won't miss them.

Wow, is Glenn's traffic that bad?
Posted by: charles on May 13, 2008 at 1:31 PM | PERMALINK
Oh my Lord!
The shaking!!

This is news I can't use.
Posted by: AJB on May 13, 2008 at 1:34 PM | PERMALINK

instaputz?

blake

Heh.
Posted by: jonas on May 13, 2008 at 2:08 PM | PERMALINK
Wow. I had completely forgotten he existed. Funny, too, I hadn't thought about lighting myself on fire in the longest time.
Posted by: Scott Herbst on May 13, 2008 at 2:14 PM | PERMALINK
Instapundit still exists? How quaint.
Posted by: B on May 13, 2008 at 2:24 PM | PERMALINK
I've got to disagree with Jerry. Things are a whole lot better in these comments since the moderators started taking a hand. Thanks moderators!

Pajamas Media "shook the blogosphere" today
If they shake it more than twice, they're playing with it.

Pajamas Media still exists....who knew?
Posted by: dweb on May 13, 2008 at 3:01 PM | PERMALINK
This won't effect us at all. Mockery continues apace.

I don't pay any attention to Pajamas Media, but I thought that despite the prominence there of David Simon, they were at least going to make a show of bipartisanship. Can I assume that bringing Reynolds onboard means they're now overtly rightwing?
I've never agreed much with Reynolds, but I think my readership of Instapundit has gone down a little bit more every year as he's gotten more predictable and partisan. It just means a new url to ignore.

Are you feeling shaken yet?
To my boots.
Posted by: Drudge on May 13, 2008 at 4:20 PM | PERMALINK
Thus continues Reynolds' decline into irrelevance. He used to be on my "must read" list but dropped off easily a year ago or more.
Posted by: arteclectic on May 13, 2008 at 4:46 PM | PERMALINK
You could have filed this one under "Dumb or mendacious or both," too.
Posted by: Gregory on May 13, 2008 at 5:45 PM | PERMALINK
Wait, what's an "independent" like Reynolds doing on a conservative site?
Posted by: Quaker in a Basement on May 13, 2008 at 7:30 PM | PERMALINK
Why Instapundit (chickensquawk wanker who doesn't have comments and likes to say "heh" a lot to cover not having much worthwhile to say) instead of WaMo's PA? What's wrong with them over there?
Posted by: Neil B on May 13, 2008 at 8:03 PM | PERMALINK
Shaken, yes, but not stirred.
In my pajamas.
Posted by: Paul Camp on May 13, 2008 at 9:41 PM | PERMALINK
The mere fact that the URL has gone from
instapundit.com
to
pajamasmedia.com/instapundit
does indeed(y)tell the whole story.
Couldn't happen to a nicer guy.
Posted by: sidewinder on May 13, 2008 at 11:27 PM | PERMALINK
Dear Lord, he's bad enough without being more closely associated with Pajamas Media and they're bad enough without being associated with him.
Would it be too much to ask to have him move out of my state now?
It's just so damn embarrassing.
Posted by: T4TN on May 14, 2008 at 12:53 AM | PERMALINK
Sweet!
Keep an eye on the instapundit.com domain; if Reynolds ever stops paying the fees on it, it'll be free for someone else to step in.
And then the fun begins...
My suggestion: "blast from the past" postings, only now with bonus links and comments!
Posted by: Snarki, child of Loki on May 14, 2008 at 8:17 AM | PERMALINK
This is almost as big a surprise as when Dave and Maddie hooked up!
Posted by: Phillip J. Birmingham on May 14, 2008 at 12:12 PM | PERMALINK
Awesome.
Now we have a label - pajamas - to know which blogs aren't reliable.
Posted by: Crissa on May 14, 2008 at 12:39 PM | PERMALINK
Easy prediction: 50% more ol perfesser links to other PJ's post, complete with hearty "heh, indeedies."
What boring, boring people.

designer wedding dresses, prom dresses, formal and bridesmaid dresses, and bridal gowns are special clothes. Women wear them to mark various rites of passage in their lives. Think of the bride in her wedding finery.
