MORE GRIPING....A quick note to the world: when you post something on the web, would it kill you to click all your hyperlinks after you hit the Publish button and make sure they actually work? It only takes a few seconds. Thanks.

Sure, when you clean your links of dead sites down at the bottom.

The image file of Inkblot isn't loading in my browser. You might want to check your html.

Can you please give your own posts the "smell test" before you hit the "publish" button.
Shameless pandering to those that sell-out US Democracy while acting the opposite of their rhetoric is not "progressive" or "liberal".

HUH? What are you talking about?

I don't know about any of that, but if someone--anyone--at TPM doesn't learn the difference between a restrictive and unrestrictive clause soon, I'm going to go blind. Actually, about half the bloggers on the left and almost all of them on the right have this problem. Kevin Drum is not one of them.

I don't have any experience with blogging software, but wouldn't an automatic link checker be a built-in utility? (If not, good God--what are computers good for if not to relieve us from tedious, repetitive tasks?)

Lotta whining. There is no such problem. The proof is here, here and here .

It only takes a few seconds
But it's soooo boooring...
But maybe I'll take you seriously when you get your Search form to work. Here's what I get:
Warning: main(/home/g/s/user15540/html//features.php) [function.main]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/apache/htdocs/outer_shell_top.php on line 68
Warning: main() [function.include]: Failed opening '/home/g/s/user15540/html//features.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/apache/htdocs/outer_shell_top.php on line 68

It's part of the blue experience.

Kevin you do realize that a lot of your readers are OCD enough to check every single link on the blog and ... inform you of the bugs for free...uhh...
Very clever. Cue applause. It *is* tedious and boring, and you didn't want to do the periodic sweep of the whole thing, and so now they are for you!

wishIwuz2,
I think the proof is here, here and here.

If I ever get more than a dozen regular readers I'll think about it.

Oops! Sorry.

If I follow Kevin's instructions, what exactly am I supposed to do next?
Hitting the preview button first, that's another thing entirely.
