National Journal poll shows Obama leading McCain
Time to submit its resignation.

The NYT/CBS poll was obviously fabricated by ACORN and the PLO, and their allies in Fannie and Freddie.

How can people be undecided?
Watch for lots of "tightening" and "McCain gaining" talk over the weekend and Monday. Bank on it.

Quick question:
most of these polls don't add up to 100%. Does the remaining number account for undecideds and third party voters?

A tightening? Yes that script was in the can last year. The free press was a remarkable concept that was vulnerable to take over. I imagine Louis XVI's poll numbers were pretty high too. The MSM keeps pushing false narratives and manipulating the minds of selfish and simple, but the truth will out. The worst thing that could happen to American business--and the media, is a GOP victory. But they were chosen for ideology, not intellect, and they continue to drone on, heedless that the bridge is out ahead. The bridge is out, CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, FOX.

Fellas,
this whole "tightening" meme is only good news for Obama! His biggest threat right now (even mor than election day shenanigans) is voter complacency. People thinking he's got it wrapped up so there's no need to go wait in line for a few hours (honestly, what's up with that??) and vote for him. Honestly, I believe this is the only way he can lose.
All this talk of "tightening" serves one purpose - it's scaring the living bejeebus out of Obama supporters.
Trust me, it's a good thing.

Neilt: In a free and ethical America, you are right. I am not feeling much trust in the GOP any more. I hope you are right. But a weekend of Jeremiah Wright and racism awaits--the likes of which we haven't seen since 1968. I keep hoping that we are past such things, and McCain keeps reminding me that a cross is burning somewhere.

From the "he can't afford it" site: "The vaunted, 72-hour plan that President Bush used to mobilize voters in 2000 and 2004 has been scaled back for McCain. He has spent half as much as Obama on staffing and has opened far fewer field offices. This week, a number of veteran GOP operatives who orchestrate door-to-door efforts to get voters to the polls were told they should not expect to receive plane tickets, rental cars or hotel rooms from the campaign."
Two weeks of make-up and hair for Palin: $32,800
A shopping spree at fancy New York stores to re-outfit Palin & her family: $150,000
No money for gas and rooms for staffers doing the grunt work: Absolutely priceless.
Wonderful news. If we could figure out who those people are, we should send them pretty pictures of Palin, helpfully annotated with the cost of the various parts of her wardrobe.

Obama's average margins in the four daily national tracking polls (Gallup, Zogby, Hotline & Rasmussen) for the week 10-25 thru 10-31 have been:
8.13%, 7.58%, 6.95%, 6.08%, 5.43%, 6.23% and 6.75%
Clearly there was some erosion, but it appears to have reversed. Too good to be true? The last result is the first to reflect whatever effect Obama's infomercial might have had. These polls are all based on a three day rolling average, so in theory they reflect the mood of the public two days before they are released. For example, the 6.75% margin just released indicates what it was on 10-29, or the period 10-28 thru 10-30.

another golden moment from one of the macho he-men running whats left of the mccain campaign...
Yahoo News Report: "John McCain campaign manager Rick Davis expressed frustration Thursday that negative ads run by Barack Obama’s campaign do not prompt the same press outrage as ads attacking the Democratic presidential nominee.
A new Obama ad released Thursday repeatedly links McCain to President Bush’s economic policies, showing the two Republicans in the rearview mirror as the car drives past McCain’s tax proposals.
“The most amazingly bankrupt line I’ve seen in this campaign is Barack Obama campaign’s repeated attempt to link John McCain to President Bush,” Davis said on a conference call with reporters.
“John McCain held the Bush administrations feet the fire more than anyone else for the first four years of the administration.”
=============================
rick...please.... that simply begs the question...what about the LAST four years...
didn't john brag that he voted with bush 90% of the time?? just askin'
“Barack Obama hasn’t been held accountable time and time again,” Davis said. “In the last two weeks, he has attacked Sarah Palin and thrown the George Bush card back on the table.”
LOL.......... the "george bush card"...how dare they?????
oh the horror!!! "attack ads" that aren't really attacks.....how unfair...
whiner...
the jokes write themselves...

Can someone explain to me why people are waiting in line for hours to vote? I've been set up for years so that they mail me an absentee ballot automatically every election. I fill it out and mail it in. No standing in line. Maybe that's just in some states?

If Obama's got any extra money left from doing that 1/2 hour infomercial, he should sponsor McCain to do the same thing. I can't think of anything that could turn off McCain voters like listening to the creepy old guy rave and ramble for 30 minutes.
(And one for Palin as well!)

Who the heck are these 'undecided' voters? What do they expect to hear from either campaign in the next 4 days that hasn't already been said 1 million times in the last 2 yeasr+ of this election cycle? Have they been living under rocks?
I have never seen two candidates so clearly distinct from one another in policy positions and style in decades.
Pick an issue and both canidates positions are fairly clear.
If one feels our current foreign policy posture is good - vote McCain. If they want to pull out of Iraq and take a different approach to the world - vote Obama.
Economic policy. Continue with minor tweaks the same policies of the last four years - Vote McCain. Change tax policy back to what it was under the Clinton years - vote Obama.
Pro-life - McCain
Pro-choice - Obama
What more do these people want to know?
Is there a way such indisivive fools can be prevented from voting? I do not like the idea of such people having any say over who becomes President one way or the other.

I was always told that if a criticism hurts, it's because there is some truth to it. I don't hear Obama whining about the outrageous stuff McCain is throwing out there.
This meme is more false equivalency stuff...plain and simple.
