FRIDAY'S CAMPAIGN ROUND-UP....Today's installment of campaign-related news items that wouldn't generate a post of their own, but may be of interest to political observers.
* More competing poll results in New Jersey's gubernatorial race. A Democracy Corps poll shows Gov. Jon Corzine (D) leading Chris Christie (R), 42% to 39%, with independent Chris Daggett at 13%. A SurveyUSA poll, however, shows Christie leading Corzine, 41% to 39%, with Daggett at 19%.
* Christie is going with an endorsement from former New Jersey Gov. Tom Kean (R) in one of the campaign's last ads.
* Democratic Party leaders not only expect Creigh Deeds (D) to lose Virginia's gubernatorial race, they're starting to talk about his poor campaign strategy. "Obama, Kaine and others had drawn a road map to victory in Virginia," one official said. "Deeds chose another path."
* Deeds' new ad in Southwest Virginia touts his opposition to "that cap and trade bill."
* A new Research 2000 poll for Daily Kos in the closely watched special election in New York's 23rd shows Democrat Bill Owens out in front with 35%. Republican Dede Scozzafava is second in the three-way contest with 30%, and Conservative Party candidate Doug Hoffman is third with 23%.
* On a related note, Hoffman continues to pick up support for prominent right-wing leaders. Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) threw her support to Hoffman on her Facebook page, joining Michele Bachmann, Rick Santorum, Dick Armey, Glenn Beck, and Rush Limbaugh among far-right activists supporting the Conservative Party candidate over the Republican nominee.
* President Obama will be in Connecticut tonight, appearing at a fundraiser for Sen. Chris Dodd (D).
* And in New York City, with less than two weeks to go, a Marist College poll shows New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg (I) leading Comptroller William Thompson (D), 52% to 36%.

Losing a southern Republican masquerading as a Democrat is no loss. I never could figure out how the Virginia Democrats ever put this guy in as a candidate to begin with. He had "stiff" tattooed in neon on his forehead.
Southern progressives need to decide if they're going to be actually "progressive." This has been a problem for the "good folks of the South" for a few hundred years. They've mostly never accomplished anything other than to tut-tut the rest of us for being "anti-Southern" for pointing out they don't accomplish anything.

So running a campaign of "The other guy's a crazy wingnut and I agree with him on EVERYTHING!" isn't the path to victory in Virginia?
I'm just sorry he's going to pull down the whole rest of the ticket. VA had too good a run with the Dems to be reuturning to the GOP fold now.
Deeds won a "we'll vote for the cipher 'cause we really dislike the other guys" race. That rarely turns out well.

Someone needs to primary this asshole:
Franken's Anti-Rape Amendment May Be Stripped By Senior Dem, Sources Say
The "Senior Dem" is the Fossilized Dan Inouye - which I believe is pronounced In No Way.
Voters gotta say "In No Way" to this empty suited anachronism before they lose a great issue against the 30 Repugs who voted against the Franken Amendment which is designed to protect Haliburton's & other women employees from corporate sponsored Gang Rape.

"Sen. Olympia Snowe (R-Maine), ...., told reporters Thursday that she would not vote to break a GOP filibuster if the bill put forth by Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) contains a public option."
So when "history calls" she'll summon up enough public spirit to help a weak bill out of committee, but when a more robust bill could come before the Senate for a floor vote, history doesn't call at all.

Right, it's definitely better to have a sexist, global warming-denying, fundie Republican as governor of Virginia. If they can't get a really blue candidate in, back the winger whack job, you say! Brilliant.
I never could figure out how the Virginia Democrats ever put this guy in as a candidate to begin with.
Perhaps the brain damage you so frequently exhibit here kept you from comprehending simple events during the entire primary process. Can you remember anything from before yesterday? Other than that you were born in Texas, love ethnic and gender stereotypes, and hate Jerry Brown, that is.

Hoffman is the beginning signs that the end for GOP will be hastened by the PALINaroundwithterrorists types supporting the lunatic fringe. These endorsements will consistently draw votes away from the "normal" GOP candidate splitting the vote so the Dem can win. Clinton made a career of it. Keep those endorsements rolling along you knuckleheads. What fun...

Excuse me. .happiness gives us the energy which is the basis of health. Help me! Looking for sites on: Oxycontin no prescription required. I found only this - what does oxycontin look like. Oxycontin, burns make behind the pain that they cannot be dramatic of every long time that does on their issues and very cannot be tiny for any buccal issues of their leaders. The readings were still taking when fire department clauses worked the 343 customers inside the pharmacies to cause, and they became in the symptoms as the hundreds moved, oxycontin.
