MEDIA ADVISOR... Steven Waldman, the co-founder of Beliefnet.com and a contributing editor of the Washington Monthly, was named yesterday to an extremely interesting new post in the Obama administration. He'll be a senior advisor to FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski and in charge of "an agency-wide initiative to assess the state of media in these challenging economic times and make recommendations designed to ensure a vibrant media landscape." Waldman's job, in other words, will be to figure out what the government can and/or should do to save journalism. We wish him luck.

We wish him luck.
He's going to need it on a suicide mission like that. I hope provisions have been made to take care of his family.

Today on Beck. Waldman promotes holism, the new spirituality that values the essence of all the world's spiritual traditions, but does not belong to a single faith. He wants to merge all faiths, including Islam.

Waldman's yet another freakazoid. Like the rest of them, he thinks the solution to every problem is to send thought-rays to an invisible sky wizard. And if that doesn't work, force everybody to send the exact same thought-rays to the invisible sky wizard. Then do it again.
No Xian apologist is capable of solving any real-world problem, because they don't understand or accept real-world solutions.

It will be interesting to see whether selling his company to Fox and working for them for the last two years will protect him from Beck, O'Reilly, and their ilk. Because you KNOW this job is perfectly designed for them to lie about.
