BACHMANN EYES 'INSURGENCY' ON THE HILL THIS WEEK.... It's tempting to think we've seen enough far-right gatherings in recent months, between various Tea Party rallies and the event in Washington in mid-September.
But apparently there's another one scheduled for Thursday.
In an interview with the Washington News Observer, Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) revealed that, next week in Washington, D.C., the right wing is trying to galvanize yet another mass protest rally against health reform.
Following in the spirit of the "tea party" protests in April and the Glenn Beck-inspired 9/12 rally, Bachmann announced, "We're going to have a 'house call' and a big party out on the National Mall [next week], and we're going to tell Congress what they can do with their health care bill."
Fashioning herself as the leader of this mass protest, Bachmann exhorted everyone to "get off the couch, get in your car, get a van together, get a bus together, but get here! We're going to have a 'house call' next week, and we need every American to be here."
The "house call" is apparently scheduled for Thursday, and is being led by Bachmann, right-wing radio host Mark Levin, right-wing actor Jon Voight, and propagandist Betsy McCaughey.
And nothing says "American mainstream" like these four getting together to oppose improvements to out broken health care system.
It'll be interesting to see what the turnout is like, because there's a real risk of going to the well once too many times here. It's one thing to keep the base motivated, but even the most committed Teabagger, after having been told it's time to take time off from work once more to wave some placards around, is likely to ask, "Again?"
To be sure, plenty of attendees are bound to show up. Hannity, Beck, and "Fox & Friends" have been promoting the gathering, which will no doubt be worth something. But if attendance is weak, organizers run the risk of making it seem as if opposition to reform efforts has run out of steam.
For her part, Bachmann has encouraged Rush Limbaugh to help with the effort, telling the host, "We'll have a meet-up at the Capitol steps and then the insurgency begins."
While U.S. troops are fighting insurgencies, Bachmann finds it appropriate to compare conservative Republican activists to insurgents? Really?

Where were all these Tea Party protesters during the Bush Administration? Were they protesting the runaway spending? The curtailment of our civil liberties that the "original Tea Partiers" protested?
No, because a scary black man named Barack Heussein Obama wasn't president from 2001-2009. Those Tea Partiers make me sick.

Well, as they lie about the numbers and don't get called on it by the MSM, all they really need are enough cardboard cutouts for the photo op and they have another rousing success.

Jon Voight? Huh. I thought Republicans didn't want to hear from Hollywood actors. Could it be that they have double standards?

They'll push this stuff as often as they can.
They don't hafta make any sense at all -- chaos is best.
(Who in their right mind would protest health care reform?)
They are gonna keep at it and keep at it until they hit on the formula that rallies a right wing mob that metastasizes nationwide.
This is the same buncha extremists that long for another terrorist attack a la 911, so the country falls into martial law...these folks are nihilists who only believe in power and just want power.

Conservatives are brimming with insecurities hence they must always use trite and c-movie type lingo.
Bachmann and teabaggers want to liberate Americans from life, health and financial solvency. If it's not about getting Americans dead, bankrupt or sick today's conservatives hate it because it takes away their freedom to kill and destroy.

The Bachman mindset represents about 20% of the population. Even if they only get 1% of them to turn out, that will be about 1 million people. That doesn't change the fact that 60% of the people disagree with them, and a majority want the democrats to go ahead and govern the way they were elected to do. They are getting way more coverage than they deserve. So much for the "liberal media"

Jon Voight? Huh.
I think he's still in a bad mood ever since he got left out of the Anaconda sequel.

They're going to have a hard time walking back all the violent language and imagery once someone acts on it. I don't think the usual distancing efforts will work when an armed wingnut goes nuts. I just hope and pray that law enforcement is either lucky or good when the time comes.

I might go down there just to laugh at the idiots and make fun of them.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that at least a million people have already attended the event that won't happen until next week. In fact, I have aerial photos of former unrelated events to prove it.

Will this look like a rally in support of the Republican health care reform plan?
I think it might.
Don't get sick, and if you do, die quickly.

Bachman deserves an IED for this kind of talk. It's not at all funny and she is inciting the worst from her batshit following. She is the queen of the Amercian Taliban.

I can already predict that 'millions upon millions' will show up, regardless of the number.

"I might go down there just to laugh...." Patrick
You realize, of course, that your presence will be counted as another 100,000 in support of their cause, don't you?

Hope somebody warns them this time that the Metro and bus services do not put on extra routes just for them. They have to line up with the people who actually work, on Thrusday.

Geez, I hope this is covered live. I haven't seen so many nuts together in one place. The tea party couldn't have found better people to lead them. I hope the leaders speak often and wildly.
Don't forget your racist signs, ya'll.
Midnight Cowboy was an old movie I always enjoyed rewatching until Voight went crazy. Can't watch it anymore.

Betsy McCaughey, propagandist? How about "willful liar" instead?

Apparently all these teabaggers are indepently wealthy and don't need to work like all of us who are looking for some type af relief from the high costs of Health Insu. or ever increasing co-pays we need to make if we do use our insurance. If the 70% or more, of Americans who want the public opption could afford to show up in Washington to show Congress just how many people are infavor of REAL health care reform that would be a sight to behold.

Well, U.S. troops are battling rabid fanatics who are intent on living in a previous century. That does sound like Bachmann and her ilk.

These people don't belong in the halls of Congress, on the radio or tv, or on the National Mall. They belong in an asylum. Of course, it wouldn't be fair to make residents of asylums, most of whom desperately hope for a chance to be healthy, to share accomodations with teabaggers, who don't. What do we do with so many people who are willfully and gleefully crazy? Can we make them wear electronic anklets, like convicts do, that would not only track their movements but also administer medications, or shocks, when needed? Or do we designate one or two southern states as the home of the deranged?

I'd love to see a two hour debate on national (soon to be government owned) TV between the president-on-training-wheels, and Mark Levin ("Liberty and Tyranny").
Most of those on this comment list would not understand what is being said. However, many independent thinking/non-drone types would become more enlightened.
The ongoing Orgy of Theft by the self-centered mass of liberal/Marxist/communist idiots CAN be stopped.

willi @ 5:44 PM -
"I'd love to see a two-hour debate..."
Is that with or without commercial breaks?
"on national (soon to be government owned) TV"
Nonsense! Only Republicans go after ALL the television channels just to get ONE network...
"between the President-on-training-wheels,"
We keep telling you: GWB isn't the President any more.
"and Mark Levin ("Liberty and Tyranny")."
"Liberty and Tyranny" would be the subjects of the debate, I presume? Mr. Levin obviously would be supporting the latter, as it really isn't fair to force someone to support a position in a debate that he really doesn't believe in.
"Most of those on this comment list would not understand what is being said."
There you go again, being elitist!
"However, many independent/non-drone types..."
Should they become supporters of your positions, that "independent" label will be the second thing to go. The first will be all higher reasoning functions so they can fit in. As for those "non-drones"; what, are you the "Borg"? You don't have enough of your own "drones" already?
"...would become more enlightened."
Make up your mind! Do you want followers or not?
"This ongoing Orgy of Theft..."
I noticed that you capitalized that phrase; is it trademarked? Because I wouldn't want you to get into trouble or anything.
"...by the self-centered mass..."
"Self" = individual, mass = many individuals; therefore, a mass of people cannot be "self-centered" AS a mass. You may have a mass of people, but their "self-centeredness" is unique to each person, thus varying from individual to individual. Doesn't really matter anyway, since I prefer chocolate centers.
"...of liberal/Marxist/Communist..."
So you're saying your target base is that group of people to the right of, oh say, Otto von Bismark? Czar Nicholas II? Colonel Pilsedski? Or to be more nationally-minded: Father Coughlin? Cornelius Vanderbilt? Judge Gary?
"...idiots CAN be stopped."
That's what we're counting on, boyo. That and the survival of the fittest!
Oh, and you have a nice day too!

I think that we are going to come to the realization (please see the 11/3 election results) that the so called "teabaggers" are simply average Americans who are tired of a government that lies, cheats and steals their hard earned money and freedom.
