We have to assume that, like "Mikey" Steele, he's found a higher bidder for his soul in the GOP than could be obtained elsewhere. It's the free market system at work.

Since everyone in the US (or ancestors) came from somewhere else -unless they are true americans i.e. American Indians, could someone tell me which country of origin is acceptable to these people.

But remember that several years ago the Republicans were trying to portray inclusiveness. (Don't look back to these days too quickly unless your insurer is real good about whiplash.) It's actually worked out pretty well for Bobby Jingles, who got into the Conservative Minority Guy business fairly early on -- his story's like the one about the dog walking on its hind legs; it's not that it's well done, it's that it's done at all that's remarkable.

Hey Mister Knotts: Ignorance is NOT bliss. Please - all you Republicans move out of South Carolina right now - it's the quickest way to improve the average IQ in the state. If I asked Knotts what countries the U.S. is at war with, he would look at me as if I was stupid and say "How can you not know that? We are at war with Afghanistan and Irak."
