Ted Cruz, Intellectual Snob
Ted Cruz, presidential hopeful and junior United States Senator from Texas, had some pretty high standards in law school. From GQ:
“As a law student at Harvard, he refused to study with anyone who hadn’t been an undergrad at Harvard, Princeton, or Yale.”
Yes, he could not risk having his intellectual development sullied by the input of graduates from an inferior school like Dartmouth.
Granted, Cruz went to law school in the early 90s. I’d sure hate to have people holding me responsible for statements I may have uttered as a kid, but still. The man’s demonstrating a very interesting idea of what mattered to him, and how he viewed the world, as a young man.
