By Daniel Luzer

Students at Nova Scotia’s Dalhousie University have recorded “The Student Poverty Song” to protest planned tuition hikes.

Students are shown taking unconventional steps to save money and holding up signs displaying their student debt burdens:

With the increase, average total tuition for Nova Scotians at Dalhousie will be about $5,600 a year (in American dollars).

The average annual in-state tuition at a U.S. public college is about $7,000.
