Well That’s Pretentious
This is probably not as bad as Drake University’s disastrous D+ advertising campaign but this is a little disconcerting.
According to an article by Libby Nelson in Inside Higher Ed, Whitman College, in Walla Walla, Washington, has a new advertising campaign:
The statement, which is featured prominently on the college’s website and will be included with new admissions brochures, calls Whitman “the premier liberal arts college that combines academic excellence with an unpretentious, Northwest culture and an engaging community.”
Or at least you had an unpretentious culture before you started that ad campaign, didn’t you? [Image via]
