While I stand by my basic assertion that legacy admissions are fine, as the policy hurts no one and improves school finances, every once in a while I come across something that makes me a little uncomfortable with the concept.

Ladies and gentleman, Jackie Milestone:

Raised on her father’s knee, hearing Saybrook stories. And yet she still was deferred from Yale after applying to the early action pool. Oh, the pain.

Yale: do not reward this unseemly behavior. Please don’t admit her.
