Katherine Boo


Katherine Boo was an editor at the Monthly from 1991 to 1992. A D.C. native, she worked for The Washington Post since 1994 where she received a Pulitzer Prize for her story "Invisible Deaths: The Fatal Neglect of D.C.'s Retarded." She has been a staff writer at The New Yorker since 2001, and a MacArthur Fellow since 2003.
