March 05, 2012 6:25 PM Day’s End and Night Watch

By Ed Kilgore

If you are a Rush Limbaugh sponsor, you have only minutes to make today’s final list of “former sponsors.” Here’s what else is going on:

* In one of those signs he might be hitting bottom, Rush suffered the ignominy of being called a “fat, gutless, pill-popping loser” by Don Imus.

* New report from Progressive Policy Institute by Steven Nyce and Sylvester Schieber on rising health care costs as a factor in slow wage growth.

* County GOP organization in SC requires primary candidates to sign 28-point pledge, including commitment to give up porn.

* Abby Rapoport has final report on Kucinich-Kaptur primary in Ohio, which has gotten steadily more negative.

* Likud pols in Israel mock Obama’s AIPAC speech, despite mild praise from Bibi.

And in non-political news:

* Rocker Ronnie Montrose dies at 64.

* Back-to-back quakes shake Bay area in CA. You get used to it.

Tomorrow’s Super Tuesday, of course, and I’ll be following the ten events with some trepidation that I won’t have a never-ending GOP nomination contest to kick around much longer.

Selah.

Among the repub presidential candidates, it looks like only the Romney family could pass the Laurens County SC GOP party requirements. By the way, the SC State GOP chairman Chad Connelly mentioned in the article is the idiot who compared Obama's "programs" (health care reform?) to the failed ideas that had been tried in North Korea, Cuba, and Russia on the Takeaway radio program back during the SC primary.

    UPDATE

Defense department correspondent David Martin on tonight's CBS Evening News reporting about one of Iran's uranium enrichment plants buried more than 250 feet below a mountain:

"not even America's most powerful conventional weapon, a 30,000 pound bunker-buster, can reach it"

See my takedown of the Kirsten Powers piece in The Daily Beast, which unfairly focused attention on liberal hypocrisy about misogynism:

Interestingly weird that Mitt's Ro-money's interactions with people seem to come down to have/have nots regarding *money*....heard him say, of all things, that people in Georgia sure show up for free pancakes.
Just so strange a remark how awful he sounds unscripted, all that davey crockett talk as well. If he beats Obama I will have to move outtahea.

Count me as one of the many who will be very happy to hear less from Kucinich. While he is a reliable liberal voice, he is also a twerp, and I get fucking tired of forced-birth democrats cramming their catholic crap down our throats. Bye-bye, Dennis. Don't let the door hit you on the butt.

"County GOP organization in SC requires primary candidates to sign 28-point pledge, including commitment to give up porn."

How does that fit in with Rush's requirement that Sandra Fluke be required to post sex tapes on line?

Wondered how Limbaugh's slaves would justify his filth, got the answer today. Actress Patricia Heaton apologized today for tweeting a charming little tweet to Georgetown girl about offering to pay for her lattes of other luxuries . She then urged her twitter followers to send Ms. Fluke condoms. So pig Limbaugh's line of crap about the taxpayers paying for her birth control was swallowed hook, line and sinker.

p.s. apology would have done Limbaugh proud, ridiculous.
