Time to tie on the feedbag, thoroughbreds. Here’s some quality oats:

* At Economix, Annie Lowery documents the economic value of contraception to women, and to the country.

* An Israeli source claims Bibi has already decided to attack Iran, and that U.S. intelligence services know it.

* CNN provides useful summary of economic conditions in Super Tuesday states.

* Amanda Marcotte notes that Rush might have an easier time getting his apology accepted if he actually apologized.

* Remember all the talk a while back about pro-choice Americans being too complacent to rival the passions of anti-choicers? That’s sure changing now, notes Irin Carmon.

* TNR’s Molly Redden visits Rick Santorum’s Opus Dei-aligned church.

Back to blogging after a brief break.

Bibi better be careful about the wars he starts.
It doesn't take much to pivot bigot america onto a new hate.
Dying for oil in an Iraq invasion is one thing but Texas isn't gonna want to shed blood for Tel Aviv.

In the late 70's, Israel transferred nuclear weapons technology to the Apartheid-run government of South Africa

In 1979, South Africa exploded a nuclear device

Apparently, Israel has decided that Apartheid-eara South Africa was 'worthy' of nuclear weapons and Iran is not

    And Obama gives mute approval

I call BS on the Israel item. Unless they don't get Channel 2, Haaretz and the Jerusalem Post don't feature this on their sites.

Then again, this is from a site that touts its appearance on Fox, so yeah.

Mr. Obama's having a presser. Some "journalist" asked him if Rush was being held to a double standard on the Fluke thing.....since Left Wing broadcasters also call GOP college girls "sluts and prostitutes", etc. Naturally, no examples were given.

Containment works. The reason Iraq didn't have WMD wasn't because they didn't want them.

I can't understand and no one can explain to me, why this country supports and backs up every single thing that Israel does, including when they kill Americans.

I have been nursing a theory about Limbaugh. I think he wants out during this election cycle. He doesn't want to be associated to a losing campaign. I think he is doing what he can to get kicked out (unapologetically) so that he doesn't have to carry water for a drowning party. Essentially a huge loss would diminish his viability on the radio. He wants out during the election then once the Democrats win handily, he will come back to broadcasting, probably Clear Channel again, and will pick up the work of demogogary again where he left off. All will be forgiven because he will have had nothing to do with the loss and all that hate he drummed up will still be there. He loses very little and gets a year long vacation...

Is that, like, a secret or something? Because, you know, if Iran found out or anything, you know, that could spoil their plans.

While a lifetime ban is optimal, a year off for the drugster is a good start.
    I'm SOLD !

I feel as though Israeli sources have been telling us for years that Israel has already decided to attack Iran.

From the Annie Lowery article about the economic benefits of contraception:

Indeed, as the economist Betsey Stevenson has noted, a number of studies have shown that by allowing women to delay marriage and childbearing, the pill has also helped them invest in their skills and education, join the work force in greater numbers, move into higher-status and better-paying professions and make more money over all.

And to some men, that's the problem.

Living in a part of the world where Opus Dei controls the political strings I can tell you that you do NOT want them anywhere near political power. It isn't just an accident that Franco, the fascist dictator of Spain, was in league with Opus Dei. They really do believe in fascism under other names, and are quite capable of instituting it even worse than it already is in the US.
