By Ed Kilgore

After over-reacting to food responsibilities at church yesterday, home now has enough leftover sweets to choke a horse. But I’ll share the bitter with the sweet:

* New PPP polls show Romney romping in MD and still comfortably ahead in WI despite late trend towards Santorum. Ryan endorsement sure didn’t start stampede to Mitt in Badger State.

* Ta-Nehisi Coates absolutely takes Juan Williams apart on alleged indifference to “black-on-black violence.” If you dislike Williams, don’t miss it.

* Ann Romney threatens to “unzip him and let the real Mitt Romney out.” Not good choice of words, Ann.

* Glad I don’t watch day-time TV, as nets create Palin-Kouric face-off between Today and GMA.

* Local tycoons buy parent company of Philly Inquirer and Daily News, pledging not to interfere with news operations.

And in non-political news:

* It’s National PB&J Day! Who knew?

Back in a bit.

    Mr. Kilgore,

You are obviously a dirty minded person! What Ann really meant was that she would unzip him, pull down his magic underwear, and show that world that Mittens is just a big ass!

Ah dang! And to think I only packed the Jif for my rice cakes today...

    The Vet Strikes First!
(I merely was going to say that now we know Magic Underwear has zippers. . .)

Can't these people get their cultural references right? I think the term is "unplugged," or "uncensored" not unzipped -- what a slip of the, ummm, tongue.

Of course this is from the lady who was so excited that women were upset about economic issues too!

I took it as the sci-fi movie scene where the human mask is pulled off, and the cyborg machinery is revealed.

Just waiting for the inevitable "these ratings prove Sarah is better than Obama" (regardless of the ratings) from the usual nutjobs on the right.

The Ann Romney comment is even worse than Ed suggests:

Ann Romney's remarks came during an interview with Baltimore radio station WBAL, during which the host asked her, "And one of the things, Ann Romney, that folks talk about with your husband, Mitt Romney, and I've seen him in casual conversation-He comes off very smooth and okay. But sometimes he comes off stiff. Do you have to fight back some criticism, like 'My husband isn't stiff, OK?"

Laughing, Ann Romney responded, "Well, you know, I guess we better unzip him and let the real Mitt Romney out because he is not!"

So if we unzip Mitt Romney, the real Mitt will come out and we'll learn he isn't stiff. Thanks, Ann.

So is Mitt Bob Dole's replacement for A Viagra spokesperson?

I miss read about the P&BJ day. I almost woke my wife up to give her the news.

  • Cha on April 02, 2012 5:40 PM:

So this is what Ann the rock star has to say about the unstiff willard? He needs to be unzipped and let the real mitt out?

    Yeah, she's a rock star.

    I love my PB&Js toasted ^-^

Actually had sandwich fail today (well, the day of this post, I'm behind a bit) where a bit of contamination was in my sandwich and I had an unpleasant bite. Alas.
