My condolences. In these benighted times we can use all the proud, faithful, and passionate people we can get. And it doesn't hurt if they're also ex-Marines, Democrats, and even Georgia Bulldogs.

Ed,
My sincerest condolences.
My own father passed away not even 7 weeks ago, and I'm just starting to make some headway.
I still miss him terribly, and I always, always will.
The next week or so will be the worst. Particularly the evening, and day after, the funeral. All of the planning and busy work will be done.
After that, it'll be dealing with his affairs, and the rest of the surviving family members.
Things will get better - at least that's what I keep telling myself.
