A song for Ryan and the rest of the Monthly crew, for my family’s good friends and neighbors, and for all of you who have been so generous in your patience and sympathy.

The best songs are the ones everyone knows all the words to.

My condolences again on your loss, Ed.

The time after the funeral, and when all the hub-bub's done, the decisions made, and the supportive family and friends leave to return to their lives, is the worst.

But it's also the time that you need adjust to your loss, see where you are in the grieving cycle, figure out how to get through it, and return to your life.

Best wishes for you and yours.
