OMG...The Call - part of the soundtrack for my college years. "Reconciled," and "Into the Woods" are top notch albums - "Let the Day Begin" is a good morning song, too:

I didn't know Micheal Been (leader singer/bassist) died in 2010. RIP.

Great song, proof that not all eighties music sucked (just 75% of it).
Now you need to post some Killing Joke, XTC, and The Jam.

Man! I have never heard this song or the group.....About that time I remember. "What's Love Got to do With It" by Tina Turner, "Jump" Pointer , "Sexual Healing" Marvin Gaye, "Making Love" Roberta Flack

Thanks. It's been at least 20 years since I heard that.

Thanks for the link. The Call were one of the best rock bands ever. I listened to one of my old Call albums recently and Michael Been's passion and thoughtful lyrics never grow old.
It makes me sad that I am not aware of any modern bands with the same social vision. I am a fan of indie rock, but there is an almost complete lack of writing about serious issues.

I hadn't thought of The Call in years, I saw them in concert with Simple Minds in the 80's. Great concert. I still have an album of theirs, may crank it up as I do my weekend chores. Thanks Ed. And yea, Let the Day Begin would be a great song for this segment.
Your family are in my thoughts today, Ed.
