Woke up feeling less than positive about our “job creator” friends. So this song was a natural: Mick Jagger’s “Memo From Turner,” from the 1970 movie Performance. That’s Ry Cooder on the slide guitar.

My FAVORITE movie in High School. Obviously, I had unusual tastes even in HS. Going to have to break out the soundtrack album and listen to the whole thing. Again. Second best song, Randy Newman singing Gone Dead Train.

Always glad to get a Memo from Turner. Thanks for the reminder of a great song. It's the only thing that I ever recall from that very strange movie.

Great song. I'd never seen the movie or clip before. What on earth is going on there?

What on earth is going on there?
That is a question you will ask after every scene in the movie;> I found a copy of the novelization once, and even that didn't know what was going on.
Is it any wonder the movie was co-directed by the future director of The Man Who Fell To Earth and some of the strangest movies of the 70's and 80's?
