The news pace today is best reflected by the fact that my preferred aggregator is still at this moment featuring the ABC-WaPo poll showing that nothing’s changed lately. But here are some scraps I’ve salvaged:
* Hasn’t got much attention lately, but five more major corporations have stopped donations to ALEC after Trayvon Martin shooting, including Meg Whitman’s HP.
* Charlie Cook thinks Romney is dangerously conceding identification of his own self to the Obama campaign.
* New York Times’ Trip Gabriel previews tomorrow’s Romney address to NAACP.
* TPM’s Sahil Kapur notes Joint Tax Committee finding that only 3.5% of small businesses would face higher rates under Obama proposal to return to Clinton-era rates for high earners.
* I’m in a bit of a Twitter War w/ Mickey Kaus over my description of Pat Caddell as a “concern troll.” If you are a tweeter, good time to follow me (@ed_kilgore) and WaMo (@washmonthly). If you’re not, consider it. Twitter won’t bite, and it’s inherently less self-revealing than Facebook.
And in non-political news:
* MLB All-Star game on tonight, from KC. I may watch, if only to catch up on my vast recent ignorance about the Summer Game’s current stars.

Yeah, but Mickey is a concern troll, too.
Abrxas on July 11, 2012 2:55 AM:
Kaus is a douche. You win.
Ron Byers on July 11, 2012 8:27 AM:
I think Charlie Cook is right. He wish he would keep his mouth shut. No matter, the Romney handlers are an arrogant and incompetent bunch, they won't notice Charlie.
Allan Snyder on July 11, 2012 10:57 AM:
Someone beat me to it. No surprise that "Democratic" concern troll extraordinaire Kaus would defend fellow troll Caddell. Kaus might be even more desperate for attention, if that's possible.
Allan Snyder on July 11, 2012 11:03 AM:
Actually, I'm not even sure if Kaus considers himself a Democrat anymore. Maybe just one of those folks who considers himself above it all, standing for nothing.
All I know is that I stopped reading anything Kaus wrote over ten years ago, when he actually seemed to have difficulty deciding between Bush and Gore. Anyone who struggles with that decision is neither a progressive nor a Democrat.

so cute. My boyfriend thinks the same as I do. He is eight years older than me, lol. We met online at agelover``.c-0`m a nice and free place for younger women and older men, or older women and younger men, to interact with each other. Maybe you wanna check out or tell your friends.
