July 29, 2012 10:56 AM Guess Who Has VP Advice for Romney?

By Ryan Cooper

It’s old man Cheney, and he’s got some rather surprising advice:

Dick Cheney has some advice for Mitt Romney on choosing a running mate: Don’t pick another Sarah Palin.
In his first interview since receiving a heart transplant in March, Cheney told ABC News, that John McCain’s decision to pick Palin as his running mate in 2008 was “a mistake” — one that it is important from Romney not to repeat.

Less Palin, more torture regimes and pointless wars of aggression. Got it. In other news, Grand Moff Tarkin has been giving lectures on planetary ecology, environmentalism, and human rights.

I thought "Old Man With Clenched Fist For Face" was going to decide that HE, once again, was the best option!

Now I have to go change my pants.
    Thanks a heap...

Hey, maybe Mitt can make CRAPTCHA his VP!

It's plenty white, it sucks, and it's pretty much incomprehensible.

And isn't that what the Mittster's looking for?

What , he didn't say "take my daughter(s)?" The old guy is losing his touch. My other question is: why is he on my tee vee and not on trial for war crimes?

    Here's the full quote...

“I like Governor Palin. I’ve met her. I know her. She – attractive candidate. But based on her background, she’d only been governor for, what, two years? I don’t think she passed that test…of being ready to take over. And I think that was a mistake.”

Palin was unprepared to take over, but romney, with his limited time as governor passed "the test" and is ready to be president? He was AWOL for much of the last 2 years of his term. You just can't make this stuff up.

Darth's advice to The Mittster regarding Failin' Palin is excellent!
Too bad he didn't take his own advice when he recommended himself to be GDumbya's running mate. After their (s)election, Darth Cheney even took it one step further. When he realized that GDumbya was essentially incompetent, Darth actually took over as President and PROVED that his VP selection was not prepared to be President.
In Palin's case, we are only left to surmise that she would have been a major-league disaster as POTUS.

How can he have a "heart replacement"? I can see a "heart insertion" but replace what isn't there.

If you want to realize that Dick Cheney has always been That Bad, read "Drift." He didn't evolve, he was born the Lord of Darkness.

You mean Cheney ISN'T Willard's pick? I thought that was a given. I mean, doesn't Willard want ALL of Dubya's administration?
And is Mitt baptising jews at the wall over there? He looks rather out of place there somehow.

    crapcha....National Hotasu....roflmao

I figured that, after an exhaustive review, he had decided that he was the best VP candidate.

"Less Palin, more torture regimes and pointless wars of aggression."??

You think Palin wouldn't sparking' up some "torture regimes and pointless wars of aggression"? Why do you think that?

  • Patrick Star on July 29, 2012 3:12 PM:

Looking back in hindsight, appointing Cheney to guide the search for a suitable VP candidate, who then humbly appointed himself as the best choice, was the first sign of what a mess the Bush presidency would ultimately become. The media just glossed over it, but I remember thinking at the time how bizarre it was to have Cheney pick himself. Then he shot that guy in the face with a shotgun, and basically got a free pass for that, too.

I officially love you now, bro. Welcome to WM. You're doing just fine.

Also too, nice to see the Spawn of Darth shitting all over her dad's statement and pretending Palin is something other than a punchline. I'm guessing she realizes she'll need a paycheck after his 5th cybernetic heart tanks on him.
