Ah, remember the good old days when the media dubbed Al Gore a hellacious liar for saying true things, and for stuff he never said?
The media's reluctance to dub Ryan or Romney liars really highlights the lack of a level playing field.

This version is replete with crooked old white men. Seems fitting.

Words to live by. Or, probably, ones we'll have reason to repeat often in weeks to come.
Hope your sick feeling has subsided, Ed. I resorted to scotch and antacids, am saving the Pepto for tonight.

While I like Debbie Harry's cover, I think I liked the Castaways version of Liar, Liar better. I think the song would make great background music for a Democratic ad this cycle.
What we are seeing this election season reminds me of an episode of Mad Men gone horribly wrong. It is like the Koch brothers have hired the ad agencies who got America hooked on Camels and advertizing is winning over the truth. It is truly fascinating watching total sociopaths run for President and Vice President. I just wish the media was covering the same campaign I am watching.

It was a great record, but are we supposed to believe that those kids actually recorded it?
dcguy on August 30, 2012 4:21 PM:
Yeah, they did, in 1965. The clip is from the 1967 movie It's a Bikini World, and those are, indeed, the Castaways.

How about Sympathy for the Devil as the RNC's theme song? (and maybe Gimme Shelter for the rest of us...)
