Though there wasn’t a lot of big political news today, there was still plenty to talk about. And here’s a bit more:
* New celebrity conservative poll “unskewerer” just puts big thumb on the scales and says Romney’s winning big. I’m guessing he’ll say election night returns are biased, too.
* Al Gore planning “Dirty Weather Report” event November 14-15 to help illustrate linkage of climate change to crazy weather patterns.
* Romney suddenly talking about Obama’s support for the Employee Free Choice Act, a labor law procedural reform so radical it was once endorsed by the Democratic Leadership Council.
* At Ten Miles Square, Jonathan Bernstein suggests conservative media echo chamber makes Republican candidates lazy.
* At College Guide, Daniel Luzer looks at new research on the relationship between state education funding cuts and state college tuition increases. It’s pretty strong, as you might imagine.
And in non-political news:
* British cooking writer creates storm by suggesting that badgers (a protected species already threatened by government-sanctioned hunting due to disease fears) are mighty good eating.
Back tomorrow with more political fun and another mark on the calendar leading to November 6.

lol - Ed, among many, knows that it can't be 'radical' if it was ever endorsed by the DLC.
Good postings today Ed. Lots of snark.

Brit version of Brunswick stew? Or are they going to go Huckabee route and deep fry it in a pop corn popper?

It's all relative. Compared to most of their food, a nicely barbecued badger sounds pretty good. Though they would probably just boil it in water.

Badgers? We ain't got no badgers. We don't eat no badgers. I don't have to show you any stinking badgers.

I think the idea behind Rasmussen is that they're measuring support for Obama and Romney among the voters who will actually be allowed to vote in November.

Obama Jobs Plan Prevents 2012 Recession in Survey of Economists
President Barack Obama’s $447 billion jobs plan would help avoid a return to recession by maintaining growth and pushing down the unemployment rate next year, according to economists surveyed by Bloomberg News.

Long but enthusiastic lines in Kent, Ohio, this morning to get tickets for the Obama rally on Wednesday!
In a NY Times article ( http://thecaucus.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/09/23/romney-blames-obama-for-his-campaign-challenges/?src=twr )Romney blames Obama for his drop in the polls:
"I think that the president's campaign has focused its advertising in many cases on very inaccurate portrayals of my positions," he said. "They've been very aggressive in their attacks both on a personal basis and on a policy basis. I think as time goes on, people will realize that those attacks are not accurate and we'll be able to have a choice which is based upon each other's accurate views for the future of country."
That is rich coming a guy who belongs to a party that has routinely demonized Obama and the Democrats, and who has based much of his campaign on attacking false representations of Obama and quotes that he has pulled out of context, while dismissing the relevance of fact-checkers.
