So for the penultimate time, I’m taking a blogging break before returning tonight for convention live-blogging. And tonight, of course, I’m looking forward greatly to Bill Clinton’s speech placing Obama’s name in nomination. Could be and should be a real barnburner. See you back later.

Clinton spoke for 45 minutes at the annual Humphrey-Mondale here in Minnesota. I was in attendance. His speech tonight will, indeed, be a barn-burner. It will be an effective take-down of the Romney-Ryan "Reach-around Team" and a deal-closer for Obama-Biden.
He is a master at connecting policy, principle and performance. I suspect that much of what he says tonight was "previewed" in his Minnesota speech. I am looking forward to it!
Obama will come out of this convention with a full head of steam. It will push him up in the polls and set up Mutt and Jeff's final take-down -- the debates which will be their final coup de gras.

Definitely take a break. I put the Pirates game on earlier, and had some dinner.
Had spirted debate with a conservative blowhard.
Great convention. Wearing my Obama/Biden shirt all week.
Feelin' good.
