What with my using the Day’s End post to summarize evening Convention sessions lately, I’ve gotten alarmingly behind in drawing attention to important reading at College Guide and Ten Miles Square. Here’s some catch-up:

* At Ten Miles Square, Michael Kinsley explodes the common Republican talking point suggesting that deficit spending destroys jobs.

* Also at Ten Miles Square, Keith Humphreys suggests Hillary Clinton’s geriatric base of support could keep her from winning presidential nomination in 2016—but could also make her lead-pipe cinch for Veep if she wants it.

* At College Guide, Daniel Luzer casts skeptical eye at trend of colleges offering Massive Open Online Courses
(MOOC).

* And also at College Guide, Daniel reports on interior decorators who create dorm rooms “that look like they’re straight out of Southern Living.”

Enjoy.
