* Krugman supplies definitive smackdown of BLS truthers. Link and send to friends and family circulating crazy emails on this crazy meme.

* Whoa! Latest Gallup tracking poll shows Obama back up to five-point lead (50-45) after Sunday data added to seven-day rolling average. One straw in wind suggesting that Romney debate bounce subsiding.

* Separately, Gallup reports Obama job approval rating back up to 51%.

* Hugo Chavez wins another 6-year term with 54% of vote (his lowest); turnout very high.

* TNR’s Nate Cohn examines overall Team Romney and Team Obama fundraising, says GOP advantage small or even non-existent.

And in non-political news:

* LDS church announces lowered age for missions, with goal to increase missionary ranks and also strengthen bonds with teenagers.

Back after a minor-holiday break.

Wonder how long it took the right-wing noise machine to compare Hugo Chavez and Barack Obama?

The corporate media who is trying to enable pathological liar and buffoon Romney at every turn, 'he won the debate' , just collectively shit on itself ... all the self satisfied smiles of their purposeful manipulations defined by their 'story lines' and 'narratives' turning to ugly scowls ... then the next thought 'what can we do next' to deceive the American people to make them vote for the pathetic buffoon

The ads on this site are now official malware level. I about done with this site never to return.

Every time I connect my phone to this site it launches a video player and it begins to stream video. This is WAY across the line.

It's true that the seven-day Gallup tracker has Obama up by five. But the three-day tracker, all postdebate, is tied.

    Let's not celebrate just yet.

  • Ron Byers on October 08, 2012 3:14 PM:

As I understand it the current three day tracker is for October 4-6 and doesn't include the full weekend after the jobs report. The seven day narrowed after the debate, the current move reflects the last day or so.

I wouldn't celibrate any of the polling either, but I don't think the debate was a game changer.

The Mormontology Cult lowered their age for missionaries to 18 for men and 19 for women. Being a Mormon missionary is a voluntary position and not a required one. The sure fire way to increase the number of volunteer Mormon missionaries will be when President Mittens starts more wars and we need to reinstate the draft. Then they can follow Willard's wonderful example of how to avoid the draft.

"Hugo Chavez wins another 6-year term"

Just how many times do we have to endure the American MSM claiming, THIS TIME CHAVEZ IS REALLY GONNA LOSE !
