* Michael Kinsley conducts a long, insider-y interview with Tina Brown on the demise of the print version of Newsweek.
* WaPo’s Cillizza designates as the Worst Candidate of 2012: Rick Perry. Hard to argue with that.
* I’ve already done my taxonomy of post-election Republican rationalizations. Here’s Paul Begala’s.
* At Ten Miles Square, Aaron Carroll examines new research on the effectiveness of sin taxes.
* At College Guide, Daniel Luzer judges Scott Walker’s idea of linking college funding to preparation of graduates for current job “bad social engineering.”
And in non-political news:
* Winning NASCAR driver grants “buzzed” interview while guzzling from gigantic glass of beer. No “role model” guff for NASCAR drivers, it seems.

Regarding role models for NASCAR (and other drivers)... Our Kroger used to have: motorcycle- and car-related magazines, as well as the gun-related ones on the top shelf, while the two bottom shelves were proudly carrying a nice selection of beer. The connection was inescapable: a real man drinks, drives and shoots. Can't be all that many years ago, either, sine I still remember it :)

rick perry had some pretty tough competition. sinking to the bottom of this year's republican field takes real talent.

Sorry, but the Obama victory is delicious.

don't look now, but Rick Perry is hinting about another run in 2016. These GOPers....they just have no clue, do they?
