I'd almost forgotten how great a song that is.
But then, I think all of Simon & Garfunkle's songs are timeless and great.
And all of Simon's solo work is, too. I think he, Dylan, and Springsteen, are the finest American poets we've had since the Beat Generation.

Victoria Soto, one of the teachers killed in the Newtown atrocity, lived in Stratford, Connecticut, as do I.
Paul Simon came to her funeral with his guitar and sang "Sounds of Silence" during the service. This was Victoria Soto's favorite song, reportedly.
