Since it’s Year’s End, and also the final moments before the Fiscal Cliff, when we are all supposed to run screaming through the streets in fear and despair, there’s only one appropriate video: The Doors performing “The End” at the Hollywood Bowl in 1968.

    Evertime I hear that song, I remember "Apocalypse Now," and the great finale - and I ain't talkin' about no 'Redux,' here, neither.

    Kind of like, whenever I hear anyone do "White Christmas," I think of Danny Kaye and Bing Crosby. And especially Vera Ellen, with those long, lean, luscious legs.

    BTW - I'm still getting that "FORBIDDEN" message. So, you might want to sober up your IT folks and send them on a mission to, you know, do their jobs.
