After the Crimson Tide’s third national championship in four years, I figured the proper tribute is Alabama Shakes covering the Zeppelin classic “How Many More Times?” live in Huntsville last March.

The problem, Ed, was not who won or lost. The problem is was just another dull Alabama win -- unless you are a fan of dull SEC style football and then you are ecstatic and easily pleased.

ND had no business being No.1 The BCS rankings are corrupt to the core. It is a tragedy that we must suffer even one more year of that debacle.

Any number of teams could have given Alabama's obsolete style a run for the money, but they are never chosen. I fear it is deliberate. Too much money and teevee revenue in the balance to risk shaking things up. Sad. Just sad.
