February 24, 2013 8:00 AM What I said on McLaughlin Group (Spoiler Alert)

By Paul Glastris

On the McLaughlin Group this weekend, the panelists—Eleanor Clift, Mort Zuckerman, Susan Ferrichio and yours truly—argue over whether Obama is hyping the potential impact of sequestration, whether raising the minimum wage would reduce employment, whether the new Pew/USA Today poll shows the president’s agenda is in sync with public opinion, and whether the new UN report on human rights abuses in Syria will hamstring efforts to get Assad to leave the country. Watch the whole thing, but FYI, I answered no, no, yes, and no, and in the “predictions” segment stepped way out on a limb and said Lincoln would beat out Argo for best picture.

This morning I tried to stomach some of the Sunday shows and I watched McLaughlin. Frankly, Meet the Republicans was really a chore this morning. Two of the worst women "pundits" in America--Noonen and Bartilow were allowed to dominate the conversation. Susan Ferrechio was just as bad on the McLaughlin group. I tuned out of the gabefests and watched Moyers instead.
