To get the day off to a upbeat start, here are The Seeds on Shebang (an L.A. show hosted by Casey Kasem) circa 1967, performing “Pushin’ Too Hard.” Terrible lip-synching, but these dudes were probably too cool for that.

    lisyncing is the least of it. What was the director thinking going in for a close up of the bass player, who is not even touching the strings, during the guitar break?
    Those were simpler times, I guess. And one of the great "Nuggets" songs of the era.

    Interesting but useless fact: Seeds lead singer Skye Saxon died on June 25, 2009 (age 71), the same day Michael Jackson and Farrah Fawcett died.
