Thirty years ago today, James Jamerson, bass player for the legendary Motown studio group The Funk Brothers, died of pneumonia at the age of 47. He was posthumously inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2000.

Today in honor of Jamerson and the Funk Brothers, we’ll post some classic 60s/70s Motown songs, beginning with this one by the musician then known as Little Stevie Wonder, “I Was Made To Love Her.”
