Argentinian-born Ernesto “Che” Guevara, one-time chief political associate of Fidel Castro and a theoretician of revolutionary guerrilla warfare, was executed by the Bolivian military on this day in 1967. I don’t know if he would have been impressed, amused or horrified by the pop culture edifice raised on his behalf. But it just won’t go away. Here’s the Australian punk band The Clap with “Che Guevara T-Shirt Wearer.”
