Forty years ago today, Vice President Spiro T. Agnew resigned after getting caught in one of more sordid acts of corruption (brown paper bags stuffed with cash being delivered to his White House office as part of a deal with Maryland road contractors that had been in place for years) in living memory. So in commemoration of ol’ Spiggy’s fall, here’s Iggy Pop performing “Corruption” in Brussels in 1999:
