February 05, 2014 5:39 PM More Pressure on Cohn

By Ed Kilgore

This is purely insider news from HuffPost’s Michael Calderone, but still interesting to some of us: Wonkblog’s Sarah Kliff and Brad Plumer, and WaPo foreign policy blogger Max Fisher are joining Exra Klein’s new venture in partnership with Vox Media. Wonkblog staffers Dylan Matthews and Melissa Bell had earlier been announced as leaving with Ezra (along with Slate’s Matt Yglesias). Seems Lydia DePillis is sticking around to work for Ezra’s successor, Jim Tankersly.

I read all of these people, but I have to say the most indispensable has been Sarah Kliff, whose health care coverage has been comprehensive and clear. If the new venture doesn’t go up for a while, and Kliff goes dark, it’s going to put a lot more pressure on TNR’s Jonathan Cohn to keep us progressive writers and bloggers up to date and out of error on health care issues.
