Determined as I was to honor the Ramones yesterday, I didn’t remember it was Bastille Day. So a day late, let’s honor French rock ‘n’ roll, such as it is.

Here’s the pioneering artists, Les Chaussettes Noire, performing “Be Bop a Lula” in 1961. C’est formidable!
